SAD WINTER IS OK

Wojciech Marzec Sad Winter Is OK
Wojtek Marzec’s photos are from a dream about Poland. Taken in an ordinary, even average place, but from a rarely seen perspective and at a time when they are seldom visited. Here the encountered reality looks like a decoration.
Wojtek has found a beauty in a landscape most people see as symbol of ugliness and winter depression. The positive energy and warmth he bestows on the place compensate for the penetrating cold and dampness of Polish winter in the countryside. At the same time he’s able to manage the form skilfully and play on these gloomy, sleepy surroundings. Play on the viewers’ emotions. Dispirit them, show them how dreary it all is. But he shows straight away that it’s nothing. That this sadness is also OK.
