The forthcoming Photomonth in Krakow traditionally celebrates photography in its many guises. This year's Photomonth in Krakow Festival – because its our jubilee – will be unique in many respects!
The Photomonth in Krakow Main Program traditionally includes diverse exhibitions showing top-class photography and curatorial treatments. During this year's Festival, there’ll be both doyens and angry young photographers; nostalgic romantics and uncompromising pioneers; charismatic experimenters and contemplative classics. We’ll be discovering the unknown and mysterious and presenting the known and admired in the Poland’s most extensive review ever.
The Photomonth in Krakow 2012 Main Program looks as follows:
• Alexander Rodchenko. Revolution in photography (National Museum in Kraków),
• Jerzy LewczyĹski. Memory of the Image (National Museum in Kraków),
• Sally Mann, The Family and the Land (Museum of Ethnography),
• The fidelity of images. René Magritte and photography (International Cultural Centre),
• Sergey Bratkov (MOCAK),
• Jason Evans (ZPAF Gallery),
• Viviane Sassen (Pauza Gallery),
• Lieko Shiga (Manngha Centre for Japanese Art and Technology),
• Live Flesh. Photography from the collection of Cezary PieczyĹski (Starmach Gallery).
