For today’s meeting at Pauza Club in the “Reading the Image” cycle, we’d like to invite you at 6 pm, for a change. Our guest is Karolina Lewandowska – the curator of exhibitions such as “Photomontage of Poland in the 20-year interwar period”, “I’m just documenting – Leonard SempoliĹski’s photography”, “Zbigniew DĹubak – photographs from 1947-50 and 1980-2000”, "Who's different? Contemporary Photography from Austria", and, most importantly, head of the Foundation for Photographic Archaeology, the first institution of its type in Poland, founded in August 2008 in response to the real need for the recovery and public exhibition of the archives of leading Polish photographers. And it’s archives – the methodology for preserving photographic archives and the surprises private archives may contain – that will be the subject of today’s discussion.
