There were chances to see over 30 exhibitions and participate in over 60 accompanying events, meet personalities from the world of photography such as Katy Barron, Anna Fox, Anne McNeill, Tom Hunter, Martin Parr, Mark Power, Jason Evans, John Stezaker, Tomek Sikora, Kuba DÄ
browski, MikoĹaj Komar, Karol Radziszewski, Jacek Poremba and many, many others. You could have seen the most important photography books published over the last twelve months, relax at concerts, and sink comfortably into a cinema seat.
There was no lack of surprises, including the weather, and we hope that this year’s Photomonth was one more May Madness of photographic discovery for you!
We’d like to thank everyone for their co-operation – especially the volunteers, without which every festival would be impossible to run!
For anyone who’d like to extend the festival atmosphere, you can come and see the Tony Ray-Jones exhibition at Galeria Starmach (open till 4th June), Adam Broomberg and Oliver Chanarin at the Galeria ZPAF i S-ka (open till 19th June), Mark Power at the International Cultural Centre (open till 27th June) and the collective exhibition Facts of Life. Photography in Britain 1974-1997 in the National Museum.
And we are ready until 6th June to receive your submissions of photos documenting this year’s festival events. Have a quick look through your photographic archives and send your photos – prizes are waiting for the best ones!
