KATY BARRON
Katy Barron is a freelance curator who specialises in working with photography. After graduating from the Courtauld Institute and Oxford University, Katy worked as a curator of works on paper at the National Museum of Wales, Cardiff. She then worked as Assistant Curator of Paintings at the Royal Collection for nearly a decade. She focused her interests on photography over the last six years whilst Curator of Photography at Purdy Hicks Gallery, London and has recently curated a touring museum show called "Alchemy". She advises on and deals in contemporary art (especially photography) of all kinds, as well as working on freelance curatorial projects and touring shows. She also participates in national and international portfolio reviews for photographers at all levels and acts as a mentor to a number of young photographers.
