IS (NOT) Â THE SPUTNIK PHOTOS COLLECTIVE PRESENTS ITS LATEST PROJECT
IS (not) is the result of an artistic collaboration between five Polish photographers from the Sputnik Photos collective: (Jan BrykczyĹski, MichaĹ Ĺuczak, RafaĹ Milach, Adam PaĹczuk, Agnieszka Rayss) and Icelandic writers (Hermann Stefánsson, Kristín Heiða Kristinsdóttir, Sindri Freysson, Sigurbjörg Þrastardóttir, Huldar Breiðfjörð). While the travelled together they matched themselves against clichés of Iceland, trying to look at this country from inside and outside, by word and image. As part of the project they created an album IS (not), exhibitions in Poland and Iceland, multimedia work, and a website. The curator of the project is Andrzej Kramarz.
