PHOTOMONTH IN KRAKOW — 2011
PHOTOGRAPHY COLLECTING IN POLAND. MEETING WITH CEZARY PIECZYĹSKI
Collecting photography in Poland is still a niche activity. There are few people that specialise exclusively in this field. Observing the worldwide trend, though, it’s fair to predict that the approach to photography in Poland will change and it will be perceived – just like the other arts – as a way of adding to your capital.
Whether it is worth collecting Polish photography, what to think about when choosing which photos to buy, as well as other aspects of collecting will be the subject of a talk by Cezary PieczyĹski – a photography collector from PoznaĹ, specialising in the Polish interbellum avant-garde and the modernism of the 1940s, 50s, and 60s.
