ICONIC PHOTOS IN POLAND. THE RESEARCHING / THE VOTING

Iconic photos are pictures that are widely recognised by specific social groups. They are photographs that appear before our eyes when someone describes them. Often we do not remember the artist behind a work or the date it was created, but they arouse associations with a specific event, person, or moment. Photographic icons work on our emotions and stick in the memory. Iconic images do not need a caption, because we “all” know them.
A search was aimed at a group of over three hundred people associated with culture.
At the exhibition we shall present the photos that were identified most frequently. It will be interesting to see which of them arouse the most emotion.
