As we have already mentioned, the ceremonial prize-giving for the Photographic Publication of the Year 2009 has been postponed until 29th May, 4:00pm at the Galeria Camelot & Galeria Fundacji Imago Mundi (place and time may still change).
We hope that the weather will not discourage you, and that you will come to the Association of Art Historians in Krakow at 6 pm to hear two inaugural lectures for the History of Photography cycle of meetings.
At the same time, since the main theme for this year’s Photomonth in Krakow festival is photography from the United Kingdom, you’ll be able to see an exhibition of unique British photographs from the collection of the Lanckorona PAU Phototeque.
The evening will bound along to the rhythms of indie pop. This time, the Forty Kleparz will host the New Zealand group The Ruby Suns, who started in 2004. Their albums are promoted by none other than the legendary Sub Pop label, whose stable contains such rock music thoroughbreds as Nirvana's "Bleach", Mudhoney's "Superfuzz Bigmuff", and Soundgarden's early EPs. Tickets at a reduced promotional price can be purchased at the Festival Office at ul. Ĺw. Tomasza 17!
Don’t forget to add tomorrow’s first meeting in the Reading the Image cycle in Klub Pauza to your diary, either. Here, at the guests will be Jolanta and Waldemar ĹliwczyĹscy!
