We’re about to begin the Photomonth’s penultimate weekend. Time is passing, so if you want to see the remaining exhibitions, the forthcoming days will provide the perfect opportunity. We encourage those who want to see as much as possible to read the map with all the locations holding the festival exhibitions and plan their photographic adventure.
We highly recommend you direct your steps to the Bunkier Sztuki Contemporary Art Gallery, where this year's festival’s main exhibition is located. This is a survey of contemporary work using the heteronym strategy, and is the perfect introduction to the ALIAS programme. Remaining in the centre, it’s worth visiting the StanisĹaw WyspiaĹski Museum in the SzoĹayski Townhouse. We’ve set a couple of this year's Aliases here, including Bernardo Soares – the tale of a Portuguese accountant who narrated his detached biography over the decades; Anonymous – an anthropological documentary on a certain town and its disappearance; Gerald D’Amato – the works of an American electrician of the same name whose photos bring to life New York’s daily routine; and James Wyatt – an atypical version of student life. Another recommended stop is the Grey House in the Rynek GĹówny. Here you can see the Georgian photocollages of the Leina N. project, the Dadaist works of Lee Cluderay, saved from a fire, and Joe Cornel’s series of works.
While on the Alias route around the Old Town, you shouldn’t miss the Town Hall Tower, where you can see Ignatius Sancho. The recommended route then leads along FloriaĹska to the Pauza Gallery and Cinema 18, Ĺw. Tomasza – to the ZPAF i S-ka Gallery, and then SĹawkowska to No Local.
