The Photomonth in Kraków Festival, this year concealing unfamiliar artists and artworks under its leading title “Alias”, is now open! The first Aliases, first exhibitions from the ShowOFF Section and first events start today!
The Festival opening traditionally takes place at the Starmach Gallery (18:00). The venue will also host the announcement of results of the sittcomm.award and the first exhibition from the main ALIAS programme: George and Patricia Beacher. Next we’ll be moving to ZabĹocie for 20:00 to jointly open the ALIAS exhibitions: Jack of Surprises (Zbiornik Kultury) and Plantinga (Kathedra Gallery).
As well as the “Alias” programme exhibitions, there will of course be vernissages from the ShowOFF Section.
At 17:00, moments before the Festival kicks off, we’ll have the opening of Yulka Wilam’s I Forgot Where It Was at New Roman. At 19:30, on the way to Klub Fabryka in SkĹad Solny, join us for Karol Kaczorowski’s keikoku exhibition, and after the grand opening of the main programme and moments before the party starts, vernissages by Ula Klimek Tent 5,- Car 5,- Adult 5,- (21:00, Klub Fabryka) and Wojtek Marzec Sad Winter Is OK (21:30, Atropos Gallery). Afterwards we’ll be staying at the old Miraculum factory until the morning! We’ll be having fun with the Red Bull Music Academy, and for those after bigger musical thrills we can recommend a concert by Beardyman.
