We’re catching our breath after the opening weekend of the 9th Photomonth in Krakow Festival. Although nearly all the exhibitions are now open, we’re not slowing down! On Thursday, you can come to the opening of the last Alias: Madeleine Sante, which is at Krakow’s newest exhibition space: MOCAK. The grand inauguration of the new museum is scheduled for Thursday, and we’re thrilled to be part of the great event!

Behind us are the marathon of receptions and vernissages for the ShowOFF Section. Although those three days were tense, we have no intention of slowing down the pace.
The first Monday in this year's Festival starts with Artur Wabik. All of those encouraged by Bruno Ceschel idea of Self Publish, Be Happy we’d like to welcome to Gallery Camelot at 16:00 for an introductory lecture on self-publishing.
At 19:00 we begin screenings of films about photographic celebrities.

You can still sign up for the self-publishing workshops! |
2011/05/15
|
Yesterday’s lecture on self-publishing by Bruno Ceschel attracted more participants than could fit into Galeria Camelot & FIM. Ceschel introduced festival guests to the basic concepts behind self-publishing, and together with Sarah Entwistle prepared a library installation especially for the Festival, which can be viewed at the Festival Office.

Self Publish, Be Happy! |
2011/05/13
|
There is a quiet revolution going on, which until now has been little recognised or commented on, never mind catalogued and celebrated as a powerful new artistic force. All around the world in student bedrooms and artist studios, a generation is emerging with an urgent desire to be heard. Without apparent struggle or resistance, or the guidance of any predetermined path or collective identity, they are pulling down the barricades of art publishing and baring themselves.
